Cyncoed Pharmacy offer ear wax removal using the state-of-the-art TympaHealth system. Patients with excessive and compacted ear wax can undergo removal by micro-suction, which is considered the gold standard for ear wax removal.
To prepare for the micro-suction procedure, patients are advised to use an ear wax softener (such as olive oil) for at least five days prior to the appointment. If the wax cannot be removed on your first visit, we will book you in for a FREE follow-up appointment.
In some cases, a blocked sensation in the ears may not be due to ear wax. In cases like this, our specialist will conduct a thorough examination and a hearing screening. If necessary, we will provide appropriate advice and refer you to the relevant healthcare professional. Please note that if ear wax removal is not needed, a £10 consultation fee will be charged.
